CONCORD, N.C. - All three remaining Hendrick Motorsports playoff drivers - Kyle Larson, William Byron and Chase Elliott - entered the finale of the NASCAR Cup Series Round of 12 at the Charlotte ROVAL on Sunday in good shape.
And all three did plenty to avoid elimination.
Now, all that separates the three from a berth in the Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway in November are three races, one at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, one at Talladega Superspeedway and one at Martinsville Raceway.
Larson and Byron are tied for third after the points reset, four points above the cutline. Elliott is tied for sixth and will need to make up 14 points over the next three vents to advance.
