CONCORD, N.C. - The couple that tandems together, signs together.

Or something like that.

In 2011, tandem drafting was all the rage when it came to NASCAR Cup Series races at superspeedways. The short-lived phenomena was a notable moment in the sport's history and made for some exciting finishes.

None more so than in 2011 when Jimmie Johnson, aided by a boost from Hendrick Motorsports teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr., inched his way to victory lane by .002 seconds, at the time tied for the closest finish in NASCAR history. You can revisit the race in a piece written this week by our David Harris, right here!

Sometime after the thrilling victory, both Johnson and Earnhardt Jr. carefully placed their John Hancocks on the checkered flag and wouldn't you know it, our resident archivist Sam Ulrich knew just where to find it. That and naturally, the trophy Johnson took home that day.

With 319 victories in points paying races, checkered flags aren't exactly hard to come by 'round these parts. But in terms of bearing not one, but two Hall-of-Fame signatures in addition to being earned at one of the sport's most unique races at its biggest race track, this one certainly stands out.

Before you ask, we already did. No, Sam won't let the flag go no matter how well you do on his trivia quiz.

But luckily, Mr. Seven Time himself signed a few other things in his days at Hendrick Motorsports and Sam is willing to part with this one.

That same season, Johnson also picked up a victory at Kansas Speedway and afterward, signed a commemorative sign celebrating his pair of wins in 2011. And it can be yours if you can match wits with Sam!

This wall sign, autographed by seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson, can be yours!
