CONCORD, N.C. – Hurricane Florence devastated parts of both North Carolina and South Carolina, bringing flooding and causing more than 1 million people to be evacuated.
Hundreds of team members from Hendrick Motorsports’ sister company, Hendrick Automotive Group, were affected by the storm.
With recovery efforts underway in the Carolinas, many have shown their support across social media using the hashtag #CAREolinas and are looking for ways to chip in.
That’s where CAREolinas.com, a project by Visit North Carolina and Discover South Carolina, comes in.
There, you can make a donation to support disaster relief or purchase a CAREolinas T-shirt with 100 percent of the proceeds going to hurricane relief in North and South Carolina.
The shirt features the outlines of North and South Carolina with the phrase “we share more than a state line” between the two states.
This weekend at Richmond Raceway, all four Hendrick Motorsports cars will feature a #CAREolinas decal to help raise awareness.
