After starting 16th, Day made progress towards the top 10 in what was his first trip to WWT Raceway. However, he avoided near disaster when Sheldon Creed missed a shift on a late-race restart.
Despite making contact with the No. 00, Day suffered minimal damage and was able to maintain his track position without pitting. The result was a ninth-place result.
