'24/7 Jimmie Johnson: Race to Daytona' debuts Tuesday

CONCORD, N.C. (Jan. 26, 2010) -- HBO Sports’ groundbreaking “24/7” reality franchise presents its first non-boxing series with the all-access show "24/7 Jimmie Johnson: Race to Daytona." Debuting Tuesday, Jan. 26 (10-10:30 p.m. ET/PT), the four-week series spotlights the reigning four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson, and gives viewers an inside look at the driver and his No. 48 Lowe's team as they prepare for the 2010 Daytona 500. In Tuesday's first episode, four-time Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson and his accomplished NASCAR racing team begin preparations for the 2010 Daytona 500. Johnson, who was named 2009’s Male Athlete of the Year by the Associated Press, takes fans behind the scenes as his team gears up the Great American Race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. This episode also will air on HBO on Jan. 26 (2:15 a.m. ET), 27 (2:30 p.m., 11:00 p.m.), 29 (7:30 p.m., 11:45 p.m.), 30 (11:00 a.m., 8:30 p.m. PT only, 11:30 p.m. ET only) and 31 (9:00 a.m.), and Feb. 1 (8:00 p.m., 12:15 a.m.), 2 (11:30 a.m.), 13 (11:00 p.m.) and 14 (8:00 a.m.) It will air on HBO2 on Jan. 28 (9:45 p.m. ET) and 31 (5:45 p.m.), and Feb. 11 (12:25 a.m.). Its availability on HBO On Demand begins Feb. 1 Other episodes of 24/7 JIMMIE JOHNSON: RACE TO DAYTONA debut on subsequent Tuesdays – Feb. 2, 9 and 16 – in prime time at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The Feb. 16 series finale debuts two days after the race, with cameras tracking all the drama and excitement surrounding Johnson and his team on race day. All four episodes will have multiple replay dates on HBO, and the series will also be available on HBO On Demand.
