Busch Paces First ARCA Practice at Pocono

POCONO, Pa. (July 24, 2003) – Driving the No. 87 ditech.com Chevrolet, Kyle Busch paced ARCA Series pre-qualifying practice at Pocono Raceway on Thursday. With a lap of 168.745 mph (53.335 seconds), Busch was nearly 4 mph faster than the field. He was followed by four-time ARCA champion Frank Kimmel in second (164.908 mph) and NASCAR Busch Series regular David Reutimann (164.633 mph) in third. NASCAR Winston Cup Series regulars Christian Fittipaldi and Casey Mears were fifth and sixth, respectively. Qualifying for Saturday’s Pennsylvania 200 ARCA Series event is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET on Thursday.
