During the 2005 season, Ore-Ida and its Extra Crispy French-fry brand is proud to be the primary sponsor of the Ore-Ida #57 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Brian Vickers in the 2005 NASCAR Busch Series, as well as a major associate sponsor of his No. 25 GMAC/ditech.com Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series.
The Thomasville, N.C., native is no stranger to Busch Series competition. In his first full season in the series while driving for Hendrick Motorsports, Vickers captured the 2003 circuit championship, becoming the youngest champion in any of NASCAR’s top-three touring divisions. The title was the first for Hendrick Motorsports in the series.
Ore-Ida is sponsoring the former series champion in three events behind the wheel of the No. 57 Ore-Ida Chevrolets this season. The season began at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway in May and continued with the Daytona International Speedway in July. The final remaining race and the season finale is slated for Homestead-Miami Speedway in November.
Ore-Ida is already looking forward to building on all of its 2005 racing excitement and continuing sponsorship next season.
