'24/7 Jimmie Johnson: Race to Daytona' picks up 2009 Emmy

NEW YORK (April 27, 2010) -- HBO's "24/7 Jimmie Johnson: Race to Daytona" won Outstanding Sports Promotional Announcement during the 31st Annual Sports Emmy Awards on Monday in New York City. The four-part series, which debuted Jan. 26 on HBO, chronicled Johnson and his No. 48 Lowe's team as they prepared for the Daytona 500 and culminated with behind-the-scenes coverage of the running of NASCAR's biggest race. The show's winning promotional announcement was unveiled last October, which made it eligible for 2009 Emmy consideration.
