JOLIET, Ill. – Due to inclement weather, Friday’s qualifying session at Chicagoland Speedway has been cancelled.

That means the starting order for the first race of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup will be determined by the drivers’ lap times in Friday’s practice session.

Leading the way for Hendrick Motorsports, Kasey Kahne will roll off the grid eighth on Sunday.

Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson will start 10th and 11th, respectively.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will take the green flag from the 19th position.

Sunday’s race is scheduled for 3 p.m. and will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network. Kevin Harvick, who posted the fastest lap time during practice, will start the race from the pole position.
