CONCORD, N.C. – The Hendrick Motorsports teams, cars, and haulers are in the midst of a cross-country road trip better known as the West Coast swing.

This three-week tour on the opposite coast requires a lot of travel for everyone involved. Just getting the cars and equipment to the tracks takes a lot of planning, but Hendrick Motorsports is up to the challenge.

“For the crew guys it’s tough” said Jimmie Johnson, driver of the No. 48 Lowe’s ProServices Chevrolet SS. “Daytona takes so much out of the team to get ready for, and then not long after, we’re basically going to have the three races where the cars and parts and pieces and engines are all packaged up and heading west.”
