RIDGEWAY, Va. – Saturday afternoon at Martinsville Speedway, William Byron advanced to the final round of qualifying to lead his Hendrick Motorsports teammates.
Byron ultimately qualified 12th.
All four teammates made it out of the first round, but Alex Bowman, Chase Elliott and Jimmie Johnson did not advance past the second round.
Bowman qualified 16th, Elliott qualified 21st and Johnson qualified 23rd.
Kyle Busch qualified on the pole.
The starting lineup will become official following post-qualifying inspection, which will take place Sunday morning.
Sunday’s race is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on NBCSN, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
