Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s car will have a different look this weekend at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway as he debuts his No. 88 Diet Mountain Dew Paint the 88/National Guard Chevrolet, which was designed by Amy Stanton, of Mooresville, N.C. Between July 1 and Aug. 10 this year, fans had the opportunity to design Earnhardt’s car for this weekend’s race. Earnhardt chose Stanton’s design from almost 11,000 submissions.
