FORT WORTH, Texas – Jeff Gordon has a busy Friday on deck.

After two practice sessions, he’ll line up his No. 24 Panasonic Chevrolet SS for qualifying at Texas Motor Speedway at 6:30 p.m. ET.

And just two hours later, he’ll head to the broadcast booth for his debut as a FOX Sports 1 analyst.

Gordon will join the FOX Sports 1 crew for Friday night’s XFINITY Series race, the first of three events he is scheduled to help call as an analyst.

“Every Saturday I’m in my bus watching the XFINITY races and I’m drawn to it. I’m learning from it as well as critiquing it,” Gordon said earlier this season. “So, when FOX came and asked me, they said they were talking with three or four other drivers about going up in the booth for a few races, and I was interested and intrigued by it.”

The race is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.

The other two NXS events during which Gordon is scheduled to head to the broadcast booth are at Bristol on April 18 and at Talladega on May 2.
