RIDGEWAY, Va. – The first 130 laps are complete at Martinsville Speedway and three Hendrick Motorsports teammates are inside the top 10.
After starting at the rear of the field, Jimmie Johnson made his way to the front of the pack and ultimately took the Stage 1 green-checkered flag in fourth. Johnson picked up seven bonus points.
Chase Elliott was the next teammate to finish Stage 1 in sixth, scoring five bonus points.
Kasey Kahne rolled off the grid in 12th and completed the first stage in eighth, picking up three extra points in the process.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. rounded out the team finishing Stage 1 in 21st.
Brad Keselowski won the stage.
Stage 2 will consist of another 130 laps before a final 240-lap segment.
