CONCORD, N.C. – After approximately three weeks of fan voting for the NASCAR All-Star Race, NASCAR has announced the current top-10 vote-getters.
Alex Bowman and William Byron both made the list, with both drivers cracking the top four.
Their Hendrick Motorsports teammates, Chase Elliott and Jimmie Johnson, are already locked into the All-Star Race field.
Earning the fan vote is just one of the routes Bowman and Byron could take to make it into the All-Star Race. If either driver wins this weekend at Kansas Speedway, they would automatically qualify. Additionally, just prior to the All-Star Race on Saturday, May 18, the Open provides one more opportunity for them to race their way in.
The Open includes three segments – 20 laps, 20 laps and 10 laps – and the winner of each segment will earn a spot in the All-Star Race.
There’s still a week left for fans to make their voices heard as they select their pick to join the All-Star fray, so be sure to vote at NASCAR.com/fanvote! Remember, votes shared on Facebook and/or Twitter count double.
