CONCORD, N.C. -- In order for Chase Elliott to capture his second career NASCAR Cup Series victory -- and advance to the Round of 8 in the process -- he needed to survive a two-lap sprint to the finish in overtime.
He did just that, holding off a number of competitors on fresher tires en route to Victory Lane.
