CONCORD, N.C. -- Two sports collided Tuesday on the Hendrick Motorsports campus as Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen joined the No. 88 pit crew for their workout.
Olsen, who sports the No. 88 jersey, began his day by taking in the over-the-wall pit practice. The football player even tried his hand at the jackman and tire changer positions.
The No. 88 pit team then took Olsen through the paces on the training field, where they performed several drills and activities.
"I think the biggest thing through the entire day and the entire experience was just how hard these guys work," Olsen said. "I give these guys a lot of credit. What they do is hard and if you're not used to it, it catches you a little bit off guard."
