Up Close and Personal With Brian Vickers, Part II

GMAC Racing driver Brian Vickers sat down to give an exclusive two-part interview available only to Hendrick Champions Club members. This is the second installment of the feature where Brian talks about his life off of the track. 1.Do you follow other professional sports besides racing? I follow them somewhat, but my main focus is always on racing. Since I am from North Carolina, I support the Panthers. They had an awesome season last year. I also follow baseball and basketball -- especially the Yankees and Lakers. 2.Can you cook, and if so, what is your favorite meal to make? I am not what you would call “domestic.” My idea of cooking is going to the drive-thru window at the local McDonald’s, which happens to be one of my favorite restaurants. 3.Who is your favorite clothes designer? I like to wear a lot of Abercrombie & Fitch, as well as stuff made by Puma. Since I am always on the go, I like my clothes to be fashionable as well as comfortable. 4.What is your favorite cologne? “Abercrombie Woods” is the scent that I’m currently a fan of. 5.From what has been said about you on your race transporter, you seem to have a love affair with cartoons, and when you’re on the truck the TV is always on “The Cartoon Network.” Who is your favorite cartoon character? Yeah, I do like to watch cartoons. I enjoy classic cartoons like “Looney Tunes” than the newer stuff that has come out recently. I have to say that my favorite character is Bugs Bunny, he’s one of the all-time greats. 6.If you had to pick between a cat or a dog for a pet, which would you choose? That’s hard because I like both cats and dogs, but I guess I’d have to take the cat. I actually have a pet cat, Caesar, that travels with me in the motorcoach to many of the races. 7.What are some of your favorite books? For books I’d go with “The Count of Monte Cristo,” and “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy. 8.Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson? That’s easy – Jessica Simpson. 9.What actor would you like to play you in a movie about your life? George Clooney, I feel that he’d do a good job of accurately portraying who I am. 10.What is your most embarrassing moment in life? Oh, I can’t narrow it down to just one. I tend to embarrass myself a lot.
