CONCORD, N.C. – This Sunday, Hendrick Motorsports will make the trek to Talladega Superspeedway to take on the 2.66-mile track in the second race in the Round of 12 for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
Going into Sunday’s race, all four drivers will look to dodge “The Big One” and tally as many playoff points as possible in the 188-lap event. Currently, Kyle Larson leads the Cup Series in playoff points with 3,086 markers. Chase Elliott sits inside the Round of 8 cutline and is scored sixth with 3,061 playoff points. Teammates Alex Bowman and William Byron are outside the playoff bubble in ninth and 11th, respectively, and will try to maximize points to earn a berth in the next round.
